About Bud

Bud is a private iPhone journal for gay and bi men: the people you hook up with and date, the times you play, and the tests you take. It lives on your phone, behind Face ID. There’s no Bud account and no Bud server holding your entries.

Who makes Bud

Bud is made by Kin Money, LLC, a small team in San Francisco that also makes the Kin money app. We’re not a clinic, a dating app or an ad business. We sell the app through the App Store, and that’s how Bud makes money.

Why we built it

Keeping track of your sex life is useful. It helps you remember who you met, when you last tested and who to tell if a result comes back positive. But most places you could keep that list, like your notes app, your camera roll or a cloud service, aren’t private enough for it. Bud is built so the list stays yours.

The guides
